The wind brushed through the tall grass, and the sky above them was impossibly clear. No shadows. No threats. Only the silence of truth.

Marco turned to look at the others. Jimmy still held the old torch, though it no longer burned. Brayan stood a few steps back, eyes lowered, as if searching for something he’d left behind. Davide stared into the distance, lips parted in quiet awe.

They had crossed through something no one else would ever understand—had shattered illusions, left pieces of themselves behind in the dark.

Marco’s medallion no longer glowed. It had dimmed the moment the orb shattered, as if its purpose had been fulfilled.

“The true path,” Brayan murmured, finally lifting his gaze. “What does that even mean?”

No one answered at first. The field stretched on endlessly, but there were no signs, no maps, no direction.

“It means we’re not done,” Marco said quietly. “We chose to see. Now we have to walk.”

The Guardian was gone. No booming voice, no more riddles. Just the five of them—no, four now—standing in a place beyond the old world.

They began to move, not because they knew where they were going, but because standing still would mean denying everything they’d just survived.

There were no clear roads, only steps. But the steps mattered.

And as Marco led them forward, a strange feeling settled over him. Not peace, not fear—something older. A sense that truth wasn’t the end of the story.
