The mistery of the house on the lake

🕯️ The Mystery at the Lake House – Episode 1

In an old house near the lake, one quiet morning, a lifeless man is lying on the floor of his study. The window is open, and cold wind is coming inside. Pieces of glass are on the floor, and the curtains are moving. It looks like someone is coming in during the night.

The inspector arrives and is looking around the room. He sees a glass of water spilled on the table, a carpet that is not in the right place, and a small ink stain near the desk. There are no signs of fighting, but a torn paper is lying on the desk. On it, there is a short message that says, “don’t trust…”

There are three people in the house: the maid, the gardener, and a guest who is staying there since the night before. They all say they don’t hear anything strange. The inspector is listening carefully and is asking questions.

Then he asks to see the guest’s hands. They are dirty with ink, the same ink that is on the note. The man is trying to explain, but he is looking nervous.

The inspector is watching him closely. Something doesn’t feel right.
