At this point the police began looking for suspects and the first to be questioned were Violet’s parents; investigators later focused on the evidence and found the girl’s wallet and phone. The latter had been found in the parents’ bedroom and this made the police much more suspicious because Violet had probably not disappeared at her will. In the phone they found several unknown numbers that the girl had contacted every day until the evening of her disappearance; they tried to contact them to trace where those people were coming from or if it was just one person with different numbers. The policemen spent the entire afternoon calling, but all the contact details were unreachable; perhaps the users resided in places outside Europe. They continued searching the gallery and social media for images, but found no traces of photos that could tell where Violet was. However, when they entered social media, they again found unknown numbers: they decided to write them down in their notebook to compare them with those previously found on the girl’s phone. With great surprise, such contact details. they matched! They started sending messages to those users, but the response never came. At this point, the police began to focus on other people Violet had had contact with before she disappeared; possible suspects were contacted and invited to the police station.
